It’s pretty straightforward really.
I take photos, pick a few of the ones I think you might like to see and maybe buy and put them in albums for you to look at.
Each place I go to take take photos has its own page and each page has a bunch of galleries of photos. Sometimes, when I’m a bit rubbish or when there’s not much going on, I don’t get many photos worth putting up. At least I think they’re not worth it. If you were surfing on a date and location in one of the albums, I may have some shots of you that you might want. Just ask me and I will look through the archives and see what is there.
I stick a largish watermark on each photo to stop the less scrupulous of you stealing them. I guess you could steal them with the watermark but that would make you a right dishonest bastard who probably knows better but can’t be bothered to be better!
If you want to share a photo you can do so by using the button at the bottom of the screen. This can put it out to Facebook, Twitter etc so your friends and family can see it. I also have a Facebook site and Twitter feed that you can use to comment on photos, the site, me or anything you want really (the site doesn’t currently allow you to comment on each photo but this is a planned upgrade.)
If you want to buy a photo (or more than one) you can. Just email me to let me know what the date, location and reference number is for the photo(s) you want and we work out how much, when, where and so on. If you don’t like what I have done with it or want a different effect (black & white, more colour, less colour, sepia etc) then email me and we can sort that out easily. I can provide them in formats suitable for your phone, tablet and iMac if you are too modest to have a print of yourself surfing.
So, feel free to browse, share and so on. If you want to buy, then just email me – I’d love you to and, since this site is pretty new, I am very keen to work out what you think about how much things are worth. I’m not easily offended (well I am actually) but if you think the photos aren’t worth much, then tell me so on my email address – shootthesurf@me.com
